It feels real nice to get a box of bike parts in the mail.
It always feels good to get a box of bike parts in the mail... except when you order xt shifters for 65$ and you realize you don't like the 06 design and you can't find someone to buy them off you.

When youre down and out,
When youre on the street,
When evening falls so hard
I will comfort you.
Ill take your part.
When darkness comes
And pains is all around,
Like a bridge over troubled water
I will lay me down.

No stinkin' way! I don't swing like that. Skinny tires only.

Ahh, another voice of sanity in a crazy MTB world.

At least Pheard is a bit OCP, a roadie disease, as he is willing to sacrifice a part at a loss because he does not like the design.

True. I hate to admit it, but I DO admire Pheard's OCPness. Though, he gets an automatic minus eleventybillion OCP points because of the fattiness of his tires. :(
Glad that we are in agreeance. I think you let him off a bit light on the fat tire thing though.

Gimmie some slack! I have to stop counting at eleventybillion because I run out of toes.

Xt shifters are one from top of the line in the shimano line. Normally retailed for 200+ but jenson closed em out for like a few days at 65$

You're totally missing the point, dude. Minus another eleventybillion OCP points. :(
And why did you buy them if you don't like them?

I get the point, I just don't like you hating on my shimano Xt parts. Shimano>sram>campy.
Nuff' said.

I'm not hating on anything. If you want to redeem yourself, you better post a picture of your bike in front of a white door. With the cranks horizontal. Chain on the big ring, small cog. Stem flipped. etc. :p

When I'm feeling down, nice friends do things to distract me like send me beautiful photographs to look at. :)

Bonus points for carbon cages, comp magnet opposite stem, labels on tires at stem, etc. And the bars better be wrapped nice or some roadies are showing up at your place and like, totally ignoring you.

Pics my good man.

and don't forget, skinny road wheels (Preferably an exotic material ultralightweight race wheels) and lots of bling and high zoot!

And the valve stems on your wheels better be hidden behind the stays/fork! :D
So, what was in the box?
(I got bike parts today too... new rims for the Barracuda Mk.I wheel build :D)

When I am down in the dumps, I run some game software and trigger a virtual global nuclear war in a war gaming scenario! I get a great amount of catharsis by symbolically wiping out the source of my irritation with a simulation of a surgical nuclear strike as well. Is that geeky? :p :D

I got bike parts, too. My box even included *gasp* roadie parts.

I don't know if it's geeky or not, but it sure made me laugh. :) I should really try to blow more things up.

A box of bike parts is not pro active. The ride is what gets my spirits going.
I got parts too, but I wasn't down in the dumps. I was contented.
I got a purple water bottle cage for 'Barney' from East Hill. :)

should bike parts save me a couple hundred dollars in labor, guess, I'd perk up.
