So, has anyone else who uses Profile's Aero Drink thought the provided straws were a tad on the short side? Maybe it's because I have shorty bars on a road bike? The instructions say to cut the hard straw as required to find the proper length, but when I put it in the bottle it only sticks out a couple of inches as it is. Bad straw?
Maybe I put mine on there and it fit just fine. I hate the aero drink system all in all because it just annoys me but the straw was plenty high enough. This may be a dumb question but you are putting the two straws together right?

Not a dumb question at all, considereing other things I've done with the bike. But in this case, yes, I am putting the two together. I think my issue is not really the straw being too short, but too far away. I'm on these shorty bars, so my head is still a good bit behind my bars as compared to a true tri bike setup. Any suggestions?

My straw is a bit too straight for my liking. I think I might apply a little heat and see if I can melt it into a nicer curve, like in the pic. That should help move it closer and put it in a more comfortable position.

I contacted Profile to ask if there was anything special about the straw, and I was told that I could use vinyl tubing from the hardware store. Lowes had vinyl tubing for less than a quarter a foot. I'm exerimenting now with some different configurations. I'll report later.
