Hello Riders...

Just wanted to direct your attention to a horror film coming out on DVD March 13th from Lionsgate (SAW, HOSTEL etc) called BLOOD TRAILS that features a young woman on a biking trip with her boyfriend who get terrorized by an insane man on a bike.

So yeah, Mountain Bike Horror. Who would have thunk?

http://www.blood-trails.com (if you want to watch the trailer/learn more about the film)

http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Trails-A...?ie=UTF8&s=dvd (or Netflix)

Check it out!

I think the obvious question here is: What bikes will star in the movie? Good bike/evil bike?

Well the trailer doesn't seem to be done very well, I mean the beginning is just repetitive, and the movie looks bad also. It looks so stereotypical "he killed my boyfriend", "I slept with another guy", "I need a weapon", "lets go relax and get out of the city (and die by the hands of that guy that I slept with)", and the kicker, she's pounding on the steering wheel of the car, presumably because it will not start, oldest trick in the book.
EDIT: oh yeah and "I'm not crazy".

I thought the slit-throat-by-gear-ring was masterful

I saw the movie. It was fun. Nohing earthshattering, or ground breaking, but it was an enjoyable scare. :)

that reminds me of this time when i was a kid... me and a bunch of my teenage friends decided to do some drinking and making out over a weekend spent in an old abandoned house rumored to be haunted by the ghost of a mental patient with a horribly disfigured face who was killed in that house by townsfolk one hundred years ago to the date of the first night we spent there - on a full moon. every time someone heard a spooky noise we decided that the most intelligent thing to do was stay in the house, seperate from the group, and one at a time investigate the attic, basement, and a toolshed where the longdead owners kept all of their big, sharp, rusty things. i was the only survivor to narrate the tale today.... wow, hindsite huh? silly kids!

There are so many horror films out there. I thought this one was a bit unique and a lot more interesting than 98% of the movies I see. Good riding, scenery and kills.

Nice astroturf. You have two posts on this forum, both of them shilling this movie.

Ugh, this movie looks absolutely horrible.

I hate when people join message boards solely for promotion.

You guys are right. The last thing somebody should ever do on the internet is try to inform other people of something.

I will never--EVER--tell mountain bikers about a mountain biking movie again. I promise.

Especially in a bike culture thread.

I mean...why on earth would anybody who enjoys mountain biking want to hear about that?

Watch the movie or don't. That is your choice. But don't try to clown somebody just because they enjoyed it.

Technically, this is not the mountain biking forum.

The altbikes is more into tall bikes, gravity bikes, choppers, art bikes, monocycles etc.

Well, unless you are working for another mountain biking movie that is.

Why don't the shills ever admit to bieng shills? And why do they always get sand in their vaginas when someone calls them on it?

Did you sign up for an account at MTBR.com and post over there too? If not, you should.

Thank you for the heads up on the alt bike culture thread--and while I can certainly understand being annoyed at being "Sold" something, I do sincerely like the movie and thought that other riders might as well.

Off to the shower to wash this sand out!

With Leprachan, Chucky, Kung-fu and Godzilla movies being my
favorites this sounds like it might be worth a watch !

Terrible as in bring some vodka or terrible as in spend your 8 dollars on tacos?

dont see it unless you can rent it. For free. Not even funny -bad. Just bad. Although it may be worth it to see the bunny hop-to-chainring throat slash stunt. Fing ridiculous. No score or soundtrack (makes it seem even more like amateur night), ugly lead female, so-so bikeing footage, horrible camera work (instazoom anyone?) and, of course, bad acting.

Don't get me wrong--there's some pretty nice tension buildup here, and some pretty fair cat-and-mouse action, but there's just so much nothing going on between the high points that it's hard to really get into BLOOD TRAILS. Worse, there's a LOT of mountain biking going on here, and footage of people mountain biking is almost but not quite as boring as actually mountain biking yourself. It's like watching golf.

And that, sadly, puts BLOOD TRAILS down into the land of solid mediocrity.

We'll just have to hope that the MTB folks don't see this review :D . I somewhat enjoy mountain biking, myself.
