Anyone ever ride the Zoo-de-mack? My friend tells me it's really fun. Although he seems to emphasize the drinking on the island after the ride. It sounds like it's mostly once a season riders parading on the back roads. I was told if I go that I shouldn't wear my road gear as I'd be the only one. Is it still worth it?

I went with a group of cycling friends for 5 years straight.

Our Itinerary:

Get a crew. Go to Boyne Thursday night. Ride Century all day Friday. Party at Zoo Bar is a dance fest. Band is very good.
Sleep late. Start Saturday ZdM ride late (keep it social). Hotel in Mackinaw. Eat/Nap. Head to the Island. Party some more. Sunday AM, Breakfast at the Admirals Table - then either ride reverse back to Boyne, or 23 S. toward Rogers City and loop.
Lunch -head home, well ridden and beveraged.

Never had a bad weekend there. Say Hello to Dave and Doug for me.
Never mind... I may be there!
