I found out (the hard way) that milwaukee county bike paths aren't plowed. mainly the oak leaf trail.

^Yup.
That's why I am always rooting for less snow, because the more that falls, the longer it takes for the MUP's to melt clear enough to ride on.
I DO have an alternate on the road that avoids the couple of stretches of path on the Oak Leaf that are on my regular route, but it's ugly.
Can't wait for all this to melt again.
The rain in the forecast should help.

They don't plow all of them, but they do plow the JOLT trail in Franklin.

Sure, this was after a thaw, but if you look at the edges of the path, you can see where the plow edges were.

They don't plow any paths down here including the ones downtown. It will take at least a month after the last snowfall to be able to ride a designated bike path.

Just curious, do they plow the MUPs around Madison?

The ones near downtown madison look pretty good. I haven't been on them in a while. Not sure how they look the further you get out of town.

Anyone from Boone County know if they plow the Long Prairie Path?

Milwaukee: I rode part of the New Berlin path that runs from West Allis to Waukesha. It looks like they didn't plow it after the last snow, but it's melted enough to be quite ridable. You'll get wet, but there were lots of hikers and a few inline folks there today. You have to start at 124th st or farther west because the entry from Greenfield Park is still snowed in. It was the first time I've ridden it since they paved it ... pretty smooth and adds a new dimension for getting way west from the city, although I did like riding that gravel path on the MTB!
