I rode a few times in the past couple weeks. I still suck, nothing new there... I'm losing the callouses on my hands, which sucks. I'm going to start riding at the park on the weekends and probably ride flat every weekday for an hour or two, I think.

A friend of mine is willing to let me ride his spare BMX bike if I let him ride one of my older road bikes when I go out for a long ride. I haven't ridden a BMX bike in about eight years, so it should surely be an adventure!

Yessss, another person to convert. Haha.

Everyone goes the wrong way, they go from BMX when they should be going to BMX. If they're not too old with arthritis and brittle bones and stuff, at least. I don't think you're there yet.

While I am not to the arthritis and brittle bones bit, I have to confess that I seem to give myself enough minor concussions due to crashing while riding my road bike. I don't know if my head can take any more damage. :p

Simple, don't crash.

Ummm, that's what I'm trying to do :D .

No arthritis or brittle bones, but it does take longer to heal than for most of you.

Except for FitRider--how long has it been now?

I think it just seems that way, both to us and to FitRider.

That is way too long. Aren't you without the cast finally, though? I seem to remember seeing something about without crutches...

I still can't believe you did that...

And if you still need a master link let me know.

Yes, it is way too long. But what am I gonna do about it? I can kind of limp/walk, but I'm not really supposed to because my bones are only 80% healed. I did actually have a baseball catch yesterday, though... I just couldn't really move or push off my leg very much (it was like throwing on one leg).

I'm with FitRider, I was off work for a month--suspected kidney stone--and was thoroughly fed up with the whole thing after a week. Because I was on really strong meds (yes, that would be oxycodone) I couldn't drive and I wasn't supposed to ride a bike.

All the bikes got really clean though. That was good. So did the house. Boring.

Vicodin for me. I didn't really want to take it, but I had too. If I didn't take it, I would be screaming. Morphine sucks. The day I broke my leg and went to the hospital, I got 9 shots of morhpine, the most they ever gave to a kid, and it did nothing to ease the pain. It only made me dizzy when I tried to walk on crutches.
