Does anyone have experience with City Bicycle Works in Citrus Heights? How about other shops in the outskirts of Sacramento? I'm looking for a bike shop to call home. I live in Roseville. I'm hoping for a shop that can fit me expertly to a new ride, and give me great service for years to come. Experience with touring bikes would be a plus, but attention to fit is foremost on my mind.

If you are willing to make the investment and go hand-built, then Steve Rex is the man. Excellent in every respect, but not cheap (also not exactly in your neighborhood). Check it out: http://www.rexcycles.com

I could recommend Davis Wheelworks in Davis for great service but I guess that's in the wrong outskirts of Sacramento. If you're ever in the area though, it would be worth it to stop in.
