Hi all .
I did some research on 2003 Zokies! Here is the deal that doesnt appear on the sites or in the manuals of the forks.
MxComp,MxPro,DJIII,DJI : Dual coils left and right, no ETA.
MXcompETA,MXproETA,DJII: Air sprung left, ETA cartridge with a very small coil on right leg. This means it is an air sprung fork and not a coil/air sprung.
Z1DO,Z1FR,MarathonS: Dual coils? nope. Full coil on left leg,ETA cartridge with small coil on right.
Z1FRSL,MarathonSL,Air in both legs,ECC5 (AirETA in some terms).
Thats about it. I hope that this is usefull to some of you. I have finally found my answers and i wanted to share the info.

Anytime. by the way i might need new brake cable (Hydro XT disc) .is shimano producing the braided lines or i should go with the new plastic? Is the plastic worse than the braided in performance?

Where did you get this information from? My DJ2 has air preload on the right and spring preload on the left with dual coils....
You also need to know that sometimes Marzocchi will make changes to a specific fork for a Bike Manufacturer. It will still be badged the same as the after market model but have different features. Some times these OEM forks are offered for sale by Mail Order companys, but they dont always tell you that they are OEM in the adds. So end up with a fork that looks like the fork you wanted but it has different internals.

Klein ..from what i have seen ETA/Air forks maybe like the dj2 have air in one leg and eta/small coil in the other. I dont know about the dj2 specifically but at least the mx series with eta is like that. The z1FR/DO is dual coil with eta and without any air in the system.
Thanks kev. for the point.

The DJ2 would not come with ETA, it would be pointless in a dirt jumping fork. As for air.....I am pretty sure it is just a cap with a schrader valve that pressurizes the leg....there isnt anything special inside.

Klein you are right DJs have dual coil with air assist and not air spring.
