Does anyone know of a source for a vintage seat tube bracket (28.6) for a Suntour braze on front der?

Do you want the actual braze-on or the adapter? I don't think there were vintage adapters.

nashbar.com has a cheap one. loosescrews.com has a much nicer looking one.

I wasn't exactly clear in my original post. I am looking for a clamp-on adapter that will allow me to mount a Suntour Superbe Pro (braze on) front der to my naked 1978 Schwinn Volare seat tube.

This one from Nashbar looks like it will work. Thanks for the tip.

Second question: Many newer front derailleurs are designed for under-the-bracket cable routing and therefore lack cable housing stops. Facing this problem with the 1959 Capo, I brought a short length of Campag. stainless housing from my double cable stop and under the BB, leaving the other end "loose." Since it essentially has nowhere to go, cable housing compression is not a problem.
