As you may know, my Moto Guzzi LeMans is a shaft driven motorcycle.

Does anyone recognize this shaft driven bicycle?

OK, I'll take two guesses at the bike: 1. It's quite old - shaft drive bikes weren't all that uncommon during the turn of the last century. 2. Go look at a current LL Bean catalog. It's called a Runabout Bike, no manufacturer given, sells for $679.00.

Anyone want to put odds on which one that is?

I use to have a full dress (looked like the police version) 1973 automatic V7 850 Moto years ago...yeah I know an automatic what a disgrace to a motorcycle. I bought it used in 1976 and sold it about 3 years later. But it was a very nice reliable bike that never gave me any problems but then I never rode it much, I think I put about 9,000 miles on it during those 3 years.

Admendment to Article VI section 3 to the Consitution of the United States shall read: "There shall be a seperation of state and politics."

If you are proposing a constitutional amendment, at least spell "amendment", "Constitution" and "separation" correctly. :)

YIKES; I never caught any of those spellings!!! BAD ME! Does that make me as bad as Al Gore when he spelled patato patatoe? At least I'm not a democrat!!! As soon as I get done replying I'll change it-thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Whats really funny is that after about 6 months of this being posted like that YOUR THE ONLY ONE THAT CAUGHT IT!!!

The REAL thing!

Back when I was young and stupid I used to ride, Moto's were always top of the pile IMHO. Now I rode a much modified KZ750...why I am still alive God himself only knows:p

I also highly recommend the movie World's Fastest Indian (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0412080/)

Funny how a lot of us are still two wheel crazy...just a bit slower:D

Aaron:)

Aaron:) Isn't there an idiom that goes something like "God watches out for women, fool & children."? I'd chance to say we're all covered in at least one catagory :)

people can't think he's too bad...He did, in fact, win a plurality of the popular vote, with over half a million more votes than George W.

The truly tragic part is that Quayle wasn't wrong - the press was just looking for another chance to get in a cheap shot. If you're in your mid to late 50's, think back - we were taught to spell that word P-O-T-A-T-O-E. Cutting off the 'E' was a 60's thing if my memory is correct.

And yeah, two wheels is two wheels, no matter what the propulsion, no matter what the speed. Two wheels good, four wheels AWFUL!!!!

Well I was born in the way early 50's thus was in school in the mid to late 50's and I was taught in midwest schools to spell it POTATO and not POTATOE the only time it is spelled that way is when your spelling the plural of the word then it's POTATOES; so I'm not sure what school you went to! But I will say this about that word, it's another bad word for the english language because if the plural is potatoes then why is the singular not potatoe? It's that dam silent E crap.

But I like all wheels, whether 2 or 4, and 4 is not awful just newer computerized cars-those are awful; that's why I mess with classic cars. In fact today I just finished and got running my 1979 Chevy Z28 I found that only had 47,000 miles on it when I got about 3 months ago, but it sat around for years and needed some TLC. This is will now be my everyday car...when I'm not riding the bike to work and I will sell the 2002 Toyota Avalon so I can eliminate one of my newer cars. I still have my summer weekend car a 1967 Ford Galaxy 500 convertible. Did you catch the hint that I hate newer cars? But that's another subject.

Sinclair Lewis would spell it "Fascism"

OK I'll bite...and probably show how ignorant I am about things newer than 1998...but how come this bike looks NOTHING like virtually every Moto Guzzi I ever saw, including the V50 Monza I used to own and ride, which ALL had a 90-degree V-Twin motor and shaft drive? Sure, if you go back to the Guzzi archives you can find one in the '20s that had a chain...but this (Beautiful, BTW) bike looks more like a Bimota (or something) to ignorant little me.

that's weird, I changed all 3 spellings 3 times and saved each time yesterday, each time it was saved it showed the corrections on my profile but for some reason didn't take. On the 3rd time it changed separation and since I noticed that word changed I didn't bother with looking at the rest assumming all were changed. So today I've changed it the other 2 words for the 4th time.
