I've been looking into buying a chain guide for my Hardrock pro disc, and so far this looks like the best choice. I already have only one chainring, and I will be upgrading to a DJ frame in the near future, so I decided on investing on this:

my only question is, will it fit my bike without any issues?

these work great, but have a tendency to rotate behind the lip of BB cup. it will be fine for the time being.

yeah the kit comes with one, I read the instructions on the internet, but i'm still confused on how to install it. Do you just take off one of the crankarms and slide it on or what?

no. you need to take your BB out. now would be the most awesomest time to use as an excuse for a new tool.

the adapter is clamped between the frame and the lip of the BB cup. the right sided cup is not really meant to be cranked down on either....that is why i said the whole guard has a tendency to rotate. mine did. there is just not much of a clamping force to stop it. especially if you hit something. however, it i still functional until you can get a frame with tabs.

just had a brain fart. if you can get some of the green loctite stuff for press fit apps, you might be able to put a little bit on those joining surfaces to sort of temporarily bond it.

sorry, i didn't see this...

you might need a crank puller and a BB tool. both are relatively cheap. the exact tool will depend on what you have.
