Great ride today - a big THANK YOU! Sorry, I didn't have a chance to talk to you after the ride, I had to rush back home. That hill was hard, even with the tail wind. Thanks for the water - I did use some. Next time I'll know how much I need, but it might be a good idea if you keep this practice in future. It is especially helpfull for first-timers. Also thanks for hauling our extra clothing to the top of the climb. It was cold up there :( . I saw snow in a few shady spots.
I would recommend this hill climb to all who like climbing and competition. The road is in great condition, very little traffic. There is nothing too steep - maybe a few short sections around 10% but that's about it. The average grade is around 6% - very doable for an average climber. There is nothing flat though (apart from the first and last 0.25 miles).
It was a gentlemen's competition. Quite a few guys were going back while I was still climbing and all of them were very supportive.
