can someone clue me in on what the slope's like from about burnside to the south of psu campus?

on that token, anybody know what the overall grade is on hawthorne, coming off the bridge and up to about 39th or 50th?

or can someone just point me in the direction of how you figure out a grade? is there a computer one buys? maps available online?

cheers.

These folks (http://www.portlandonline.com/transportation/index.cfm?action=UpdateItem&category_id=298&c=40884) will be able to answer your questions about hill grades. All I can tell you is the grade from Burnside to PSU is unpleasant at times, and so is the Hawthorne grade.

Neither of those hills are too bad in my opinion, the real killer is the hill on Fremont and 33rd that goes down 33rd to Grant High School. Leaves me out of breathe everytime, but I also ride fixed.
