i am computer ********. go here to view new poster.

http://www.getonyourbikesandride.com/metal_poster-final.jpg

reg: 7:30 race: 8:30 $10 to race. starts at mcgolrick park in greenpoint (nassau and monitor) in brooklyn.

Bring a Sparks to registration and shotgun it to receive manifest. This will be the most brutal race ever! You will bleed and you will be torn up by the end. Just being fast will not win this race. Only the one who is fastest AND most metal will win. Brush up on your ‘Lords of Chaos’ b*tches! This race will have a lot of bonus stuff and checkpoint challenges.

By the way, I know there's a lot of sXe metalheads out there who will want to do this race. We will find other ways to torture you. Bring your own gross beverage (ie. tomato juice or soy milk) to shotgun.

Don’t ask for checkpoint info cause I’m not saying. Open to all riders. If you want to donate or sponsor, pm me.

i have lords of chaos. i COULD read it again.

but i think the best training is drinking more and listening to slaughter of the soul a lot (...and STILL not showering). this race is gonna rule.

ReLoad April fools is on the 14th. Hope you get a good turnout with another big race in the same weekend.

Sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

Definitely have a Manowar checkpoint.

two races in one weekend would definitely be worth the trip!!!

goldenskeletons
03-05-07, 02:54 PM
i've got tentative plans to do both. but training for one is going to conflict with training for the other...

new york will **** you.

I don't know why I thought this was in Boston.
New York Friday and Philly Saturday is totally doable.

goldenskeletons
03-06-07, 11:21 AM
what time is the philly race on saturday? we all need to figure out the best time to hop the fung wah.

...and all you bus drunks are on your own this time!

ryand
03-06-07, 11:43 AM
I don't see any time listed anywhere, but theres always the late bus and early bus. i dont think it would be any time before noon though...

Any of you NY kids need a place to sleep in Philly after the ReLoad race, PM me and I'll see what we can set up.

I have a place to stay in NY on Friday, but we should meet up for the bus ride to Philly.

Kilgore_Trout
03-06-07, 11:46 AM
gah. i'm currently debating about not going to class that friday morning, taking the bus from boston to nyc, racing, taking the bus from nyc to philly, racing, taking the bus from philly to boston sunday, and returning to classes monday...

if i can get a place to crash in philly overnight i might consider it. though i went to philly once, drove there for a baseball game, and got lost; i was 13 or 14 maybe, so i don't know my a*s from my elbow in that city. guess it's time to start studying all those free maps i got from AAA a few years ago.

A race about REAL METAL would start at midnight, which would also allow all us working stiffs from out of town the possibility of making it.

goldenskeletons
03-06-07, 04:45 PM
the first step of winning Metalrace is putting the race before your job.

and this way we can still make it to the graveyard by midnight.

DannyRocks
03-06-07, 05:02 PM
It's been a hile, but the giant jewish cemetary on the F line didn't have any night guards last time I was so inclined to get ****ed up and sleep in a graveyard. That was maybe 4, 5 years back- don't know hwo it is now.

Kilgore_Trout
03-06-07, 05:43 PM
i live along the F-line, but i dont remember any jewish cemetaries. unless you mean the one near the vanwyck and the LIE.
also, i'm so up for some graverobbing after the race.
anyone have any chainmail i can wear for the race?

debated on making it later, but golden skeletons is right- which is more important, metal or your job? i thought so.

forgot to mention that racers should come in costume for bonus points. specifically black metal costumes with corpse paint. my friend is working on a movie documentary about the norwegian black metal scene (it will seriously blow away 'lords of chaos'). he said if i can get enough people wearing corpse paint, he will come and film it for an extra feature or something in the movie. i will be showing up dressed as nattefrost. f*ck yeah!

Kilgore_Trout

I DEMAND CHAINMAIL! and possibly a mace. f*ck "u-lock justice" i'm going to rep mace on a bike justice

a couple full-wheel skull spoke cards and a mangled g.i. joe hanging from the handlebars by a sholace noose and you should be all set.

i don't have any corpse paint on me at work today, but i might just rub some chain grease around my eyes. in five minutes. i like to let my coworkers know that i'm a professional.

babychris

goldenskeletons
03-17-07, 09:45 AM
what am i listening to? ehhhh, not a whole lot that i could really recommend at "training"....

but when the time comes it'll probably be all dimension zero, the haunted, strapping young lad, black dahlia murder and stuff along those lines. maybe some slayer. but, like, who listens to slayer??? ;)

Kilgore_Trout
03-19-07, 01:25 PM
as of now, my training/preparation is:
iron maiden "best of the beast"
at the gates "slaughter of the soul"
at the gates "the red sky is ours"
arch enemy "wages of sin"
amon amarth "versus the world"
amon amarth "the crusher"
arsis "celebration of guilt"
in flames "clayman"
municipal waste everything they have
crucial unit everything they have
and then a song or two by slayer and judas priest for sheet novelty.
