Uh huh... that's always the attitude at the beginning of an action adventure movie. Or maybe a horror movie. Have there been any zombie sightings in your area? Bigfeet, maybe?

Nope, but you make a good point...
Maybe I should sneak out of the window and get my bayonet from home? :)

I think that would be the safest thing you can do. And maybe get some beer, too. You might have to wait a while and you'll need those calories to burn when the **** hits the fan.

Nah, beer will slow me down.
I gotta find some Red Bull and Tonic.
That'll help me slay the demons.

Make sure you don't say "I'll be right back...."
Make sure you're not a virgin
And there is some other rule that I forgot. Don't break that one, either, if you want to live through the movie...err.... lockdown.

Oh, by the way, you can't really slay a demon. Your only hope is to either delay it or trap it in some kind of archaic prison, like a statue or a charm that'll be found by the wrong person at the beginning of the sequel.

You should be in lockdown (drill only, natch) more often, BT. This is a great thread! :D

Wait... I thought it was the **** who got it and the virgin who made it out? But only if the virgin doesn't succomb to lustful temptation... Crap, I don't know. Maybe you should go for a comedy, instead, BT.

How 'bout a horror comedy?
You know, where the zombies do standup until they get so hungry they eat the audiences' brains?
Should that be "audience's" or "audiences'"?
. . .
Wait, is that a ' and a " or three ''s?
. . . . . wait, is that two ' or one "?

When I'm in doubt, I just change my sentence structure and font. "brains of the audience". And italics instead of "quote marks."
Wait... is that period supposed to be inside or outside the quote marks? "quote marks". or "quote marks."?
Wait... is that question mark supposed to be inside or out side the quote marks? "quote marks."? or "quote marks.?" or "quote marks".?

Those lock downs are so stupid. I actually demanded to have a meeting with my principal and the chief of police who designed the lock down plan when I was in high school. They agreed that it was a worthless idea behind closed doors, but decided they didn't care. I know from experience that one shotgun blast WILL blow down a door, and besides running and hiding won't do much good when potential school shooters also did the lock down drills, but common sense means too ****ing little nowadays.

The period should always be inside the "quote marks".

Y'know, if no one is really sure whether it's the **** or the virgin who gets out, BT really oughta just go ahead and be the ****. ***** have more fun.

The only reason they do those is to say they have a plan in event something goes awry and a parent sues...that's it.
Having a bad plan is bad to those that don't wnat to think it out....having no plan to those people is unforgivable.

Schools will always have some silly response to a percieved problem. Back in the 60's during the Cuban Missle Crisis, the drill of the day was the Duck Drill... yeah, duck under your desk so the bomb won't hurt you. The air-raid drills made a bit more sense - everybody into the hallway with thier coats, and hide under your coat.
My son's truely rural school had a lock down one day - a turkey hunter got lost & ended up on the athletic field with his shotgun - oh my!
Another silly idea in a nearby city which is surrounded by chemical plants is the Shelter-in-place - everybody into a designated area, which is then sealed off with duct tape, no A/C. No one bothered to figure out how long X number of people could actually STAY in that sealed, unventilated area, of course. The folks at one school determined that if they actually had to shelter in thier designated area during the morning session, they would last about 45 minutes before they ran out of air. Whatever....

Indeed.
There was plenty to go around, from what I hear.
