On TV this morning someone was saying that there is a lottery that is up over 300 million dollars, soooo it is now the job of all Foosters to buy me a ticket and send it to me. If I win I will buy you a bike of your choice. Isn't that a great deal? Me, 300 million, you bicycle.

$340 million in California.

That would be the MegaMillions. The draw is Tuesday night. One state I know participates is Michigan. Bear in mind though the probability of winning is one in 175,000,000.

Send me a buck and I've got you covered. Illinois is a MegaMillions state.

It's a long shot, but the occassional $1 dream is fun. What bikes would I get? Who would I help out? In what spectacular fashion would I leave my job? (that one's easy... fake my own death to freak everyone out!). That imagination alone is worth the $1.

The lotto becomes an idiot tax once people start spending money they can't afford to lose, just like any gambling scheme.

Oh yeah, send me another $5 and I'll stop at the casino and put it down on whatever number you want at the roullette table. :)

Ah yes. Thinking up ways to spend all that money has got me through the boring bits at work the last week or so. Still, in reality, with the probability of being hit by lightning being about one in 800,000, I know I'm far more likely to be fried by a bolt from above than hit the big one. Sad really that so many count on the lottery for their retirement planning. In any event, I think I'll write a letter of resignation, just in case...

Oh well, I can dream. And I really could spend 340 million!

If I win it, the Tour de Georgia will have a new title sponsor.

The BikeForums.net MERTON Memorial Tour de Georgia presented by CyLowe97

CyLowe97,

Thats a lot to put on a bumper sticker, but if you win, I'll buy a one. On the other hand, if you win, you could give away bumper sitckers......heck, you could give away bikes.

Better yet, how about a party for all Foosters.......in France?

Well, that would be all well and right jolly, but I have a feeling the fortune will be lost before I can get it under control. An army of private eyes will be out looking for MERTON. I'm afraid after all the dead end leads and false MERTONs are debunked, the money will be all gone.

I will have tried, though. And isn't that what counts?

CyLowe97,

Merton, Smerton. I want a trip to France and a new bike. Maybe a Calfee with S&S couplers.

Got 5 tickets for tonight's draw. If nothing else, I'm contributing towards the upkeep of the lousy roads in Mass.

I was at O'Hare on Sunday flying back from Chicago and got two tickets. They don't get that big down here in FL.

After Federal, New Jersey state and local taxes total payout would $ 92.76 or thereabouts

Got the winning ticket in my wallet. ;) No really I got a ticket, and usually do when it's a ginormous prize like this, even though I know the lottery is a tax on people who are bad at math.

Still haven't gotten any tickets from you folks, so I guess I didn't win anything. If someone has a winning ticket they were planning on sending me I hope you lose the front wheel and do a face plant.

Not really, but lotteries do facinate me and I was hoping to see the lottery go over $400 million. A lot of good could be done with that kind of money.

Off to the salt mines. Have a nice day.:)

When I win, I'm buying Topps, the Baseball card company.
