The track consisted of 4 laps mostly in the woods through creak X-ings, muddy turns and climbs, beds of softball sized rocks (crudely known as “baby heads”), and up hill of the same, a bombing down hill (also muddy), a few dirt jumps (quite muddy as well), a burm/berm (sp?), and the Start/Finish line (also muddy).

Did I mention there was some mud on the corse?

Not too sure what was going through his mind at the time...

Congrats Wait! I was going to race that one too, but didn't. We were going camping at Bennett Springs that weekend, which is only and hour from the Sac, but the weather kept us from going. 90% chance of heavy thunderstorms were predicted for Friday night, plus a tornado watch in the area. Being in a camper in that kind of weather isn't much fun, I've done it before. Guess I'll try again in two weeks in Columbia. Good Job!

Thanks.
Yeah, I was asking where you were. I hear that you have been training pretty hard and were looking forward to this race... but as you said, the weather was holding you back. I don’t think I’m going to race Columbia.. I hope to be camping Colorado by then.

Yeah, I have been training like a fool. :) But it's about a 3 hour drive from here to the trail. Just not worth 6 hours of driving.
Hope you have a good time in Colorado. I went there last summer and rode some in Boulder, (White Ranch), and then went to Winter Park for a few days. You ought to have a blast out there. Lots of good riding. Take a bunch of pics!
