I've got to much unfinished work at the shop so I'll be going in tomorow for a few hours or so. Anyways, I didn't talk to the century-a-weekend club about riding with them from the Rose Bowl which is what I really wanted to do. Hopefully we can get together again on wed. and conquer some of our local hills. Also, let me know if you wanna get together on any other day and we can do a Montrose loop. BTW thanks for noticing my new ride, it was expensive but well worth it! Have fun tomorrow and say hi to Mark for me.

If you mean a base layer type tshirt....I have started to wear them all the time...hot or cold...really makes a difference even when its hot I feel cooler with it on than without...
also its still only going to be 64 at the beach and 68-69 when we get back to the park...

If you mean a base layer type tshirt....I have started to wear them all the time...hot or cold...really makes a difference even when its hot I feel cooler with it on than without...

So, for those who expressed interest, the touring bike with boombox, etc. weighed in at 46 lbs. Not quite the 50+ I expected.

Definitely gave me a good work-out (or worked me over).

Sorry the performance was spotty. Next time I'll pack the batteries in with tape and foam to cushion them.

Thanks to everyone for a great ride! And thanks to Herb for putting it together and Gene for the route slips. It was nice to see everyone (especially those who drove several hours like Dan, Asia and her friend Karen).

And special thanks to Luwin and his wife & daughter for a wonderful rest stop - with food, water and company! You guys were fantastic! And even more thanks to Joy, who made good on her promise to bring Krispy Kremes!! Enough for an army - I did my best, but could only down 4. If only I had skipped breakfast!

Another fun BF ride....Thanks Herb for arranging another beach ride, Gene for the route, Joel for the music, and Luwin, Holly, and cute daughter for the food and water.

Great ride everyone! Thank you to Luwin and his lovely wife, Holly for the snacks at River's End. Your daughter is charming!
And also thank you to Joy (Happytime) for the special delivery of Krispy Cremes this morning at Encanto.....exactly what we needed!......I had half a dozen of them myself! :D

Ok, bring on the ride reports! I spent the day on the couch watching tv (ugh). It was too boring so I decided my car isn't working for my cyling and dog transportation lifestyle. That led me to a lot of car research. I narrowed it down to a Mazda 6 hatchback and a Subaru Wagon. Hopefully I'll get better so I can get back to riding and stay away from the dealers :)

The chronicles of m.e. will have to wait until after we get some food!!

Hope the time on the couch speeds up your recovery, Ron. Missed you out there.

It was great day out there...even if we did have a bit of a hike a bike...and it was a bit damp when we started, but it dryed up nicely...
