Hi all

There are some new hydro brake lines on the market made by a company named goodridge. They are supposed to be the best cables ever for hydro discs. Cuttable braided lines enclosed in silicone coating. They get some raving reviews here in the UK and i am wondering if you can get me an opinion on them.
PS.Are braided lines (XT) better than Deore plastics?

I don't know many people who prefer braided cables. Resizing them makes for an ordeal.

I have Goodridge brake lines on my motorcycle and car. Quite nice. Stainless is very abrasive, and will file thru any thing it touches. Jagwire makes a kevlar wrapped brake line that is easy to cut, with a box cutter, and they offer fittings, that can be installed with just wrenches, for just about any kind of brake.

They are braided and then coated with PVC either clear or smoked for carbon effect...so they wont saw through metal or paint.

That is cool, the lines on my Kz sawed thru the chrome on the fork stanchions befor I caught.
Can you install fittings on them? All the high pres, braided metal lines I have built required a collet press to assemble.

The review on mbuk mag says yes you can fit fittings and they see it as an advantage when you crash and damage your line then you can simply refit the fitting on the torn line.
