Any place in Dallas where I can get a seatpost custom made? I don't have the time or the correct rods to fabricate one myself.

David is a good guy, he's over by Love Field.

No dice. Look's like I'm going to have to make it myself

David is a great guy, but not sure if he's got the stuff for a custom post. What exactly requirements are you needing/wanting that would require you to do a custom post anyways?

Couple of crap seatposts, frp cutoff wheel, and my friend's mig welder. Daivd was very helpful, but it's not something that most framebuilders do, apparently. Thanks for the tip, though

Actually, what I'm looking for is something like the fast forward seatpost from profile design, except in a 26.8mm diameter.

ah. that's going to be a hard one. Those are harder to find in bigger diameters, but something like 26.8, yeah, good luck.

If you cut & mark your posts, I'll be happy to TIG it together for you.

It'll be a better weld than the MIG. However, I don't recommend cutting/welding a seat post, as there is a pretty good load on it. If I'm not mistaken, they are also forged and cold worked.

Yeah, that what scares me about it. I have a vision of getting off in the transition and having to extricate the post from my ass.
