When I am climbing or sprinting (standing up) there is a bit of a "banging" noise that I believe is coming from the headset. I mostly hear one "bang" each time I push the right pedal down between 12 and 4 oclock.

Any ideas?

Set your bike on the ground, grab the front brake and rock the bike back and forth. If you get looseness or"banging" your head set is loose. Post back if this is it and say what kind of headset, I will tell you how to adjust if needed. If this is not it see if you can come up with more info.

The headset isn't loose, I know how to tighten them anyway. The Bike is a 2003 Raceline Performance and is fitted with: "Aheadset 1 1/8" Integrated Alloy" headset.
