Any high traffic forums that have classifieds in the cross world? I'm looking to build a fairly inexpensive(read used) bike, looking for sub $400 frame.

Why pay $400 for a used frame? $400 will get you a pretty decent new cross frame. The Redline Conquest Pro is only $499 on Cyclocrossworld.com. I'm sure you can find it for less on ebay.

Used cross frames are usually pretty abused.

Well yeah, up to 400 for a frame/fork, used or not. Redline is on the short list though.
