will these be major universities or minor/obscure/out of the way universities?
also, some campuses are pretty big, will we know where to go at each university?

Come on, son. Take deep breaths. I'd be willing to guess the manifest will not say, "Harvard, MIT, BU, BC."

there will be a specific address to go to.
it will be a mixture of large and small universities and colleges

Thanks for coming out guys, i was really impressed with the turnout. I hope you all had fun and enjoyed all the check point tasks. i was personally a fan of the pop quiz.
I want to thank Aaron, Lauren, Dan, Brian, Dennis, Alex, Danny (especially), Luke, and my boys from school who helped me out with all the check points, the race wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for them.
I also want to congradulate Tyler for earning his degree in speed and Gary for earning his degree being smart.
here are the results, your letter grade for your pop-quiz, and your guess on how many nuts were in the jar.
Tyler - 1st - n/a (but an F) - 275
Colin - 2nd -n/a - 112
Lang - 3rd - n/a - 100
Jeff - 4th - n/a - 150
Josh - 5th - F (12.5) - 213
Gary - 6th - B (81) - 175
Eric - 7th - - 101
Brandon - - 8th - n/a
Nose Picker - D (62.5) - 9th - n/a
Erik - 10th - F (50) - n/a
David - 11th - D (62.5) - 80
Eric 0 - 12th - D (62.5) - 250
Chris - 13th - C (75) - 150
Tristan - 14th - F (50) - n/a
Jessica - 15th - F (50) - n/a
Morgan - LM - C (75) - n/a
Ryan - DNF - F - n/a
Isabella - DNF - F - n/a
Aaron - DNF - F - n/a
as far as the places go after 10th, it's kind of in the air since i don't have manifest to see who finished the most checkpoints. I know that 1-10 finished all of them, maybe missing one thay didn't go to.
the n/a means that they were turned in, but they took their quiz home with them and the F's with out the % means they didn't make it to that check point.
although I do have one more quiz that doesn't have a name or race number on it. they got an F (25) on it.
some of the best answers were:
Tristan:
Q:What is the 14th Amendment?
A: Jesus is Lord
Tyler:
Q: What is the symbol you typically see at the beginning of a sheet of music?
A: $ DOLLA BILL
Nose Picker:
Q: What is the 14th Amendment?
A: Drink?
Tyler:
Q: What is the unit for measuring sound?
A: Balls
haha I think tyler got them ALL wrong but he was also the closest to guessing how many almonds were in the bottle at the NEU checkpoint.
which was 297.
Tyler walked away with $90 which he generously gave half to Colin for helping him change his tire.
Lang walked away with a coupon for a free hot dog at 7-11
Gary walked away with his money back
list of checkpoints:
Start: Charles Gate East and "Newbury"
Jackson Man - where you got your manifest
Harvard - in the harvard yard, 2 people found it
Northeastern - Parker and Huntington
Art Institute of New England - 10 Brookline Place
Bunker Hill Community College - thanks again Danny
Benjiman Franklin Institute - pop quiz check point
Berklee - oops luke, my b. - 1140 boylston not the corner of mass and boylston.
Roxbury Community College - columbus and tremont
BU - buick st and hot sauce
BC - ****ing far
Finish: Ringer Park - and my basement for some people.
a total of 27 miles as Lang's computer says, a difficult task for a 2 hour limit. but you guys pulled it off.
thanks again to those of you who came out, and for those of you who didn't you missed a good time.
Thanks again,
Scott
