since there isn't anything planne for the rest of the month, and there is hardly any time to promote it, i'm throwing together a small race just for poops and chuckles.

it will be a good time and fairly difficult.

this race will be hitting up almost every college in the boston area.

There had better be an engineering CP, you know, where the rider has 30 sec. to do calculus or some stuff, like, write memos, pretend to work, I dunno. (But it can't involve spelling or talking to girls.)

what's the matter luke? scared?!

Nah. It'll be the week after I move and I'm not sure if I'd feel like coming back down yet. If I do come I'll work a checkpoint (I haven't done that for a while) I feel like I need to do my time. I'll let you know. Unless you REALLY want me to race.

scotthorrigan
03-09-07, 04:38 PM
well, i could use some more checkpoint people.... hmmm

BC is going to be so cruel.

Looks like I'll be changing my hours at work to make this one too. If my EMT class fell on that day it would be so much easier, but it doesn't.

I vote no on Brandeis. I work a half mile from that campus in this shady ass industrial/low-income area.

Hint: Ride a tricycle.. one of those little red ones from when you where like 4... that way maybe you won't finish in some ungodly time that makes the rest of use look bad..

bump.

and...

we all knew this is going to be a quick thrown together race, just for the sake of racing, but lack of checkpoint people will not allow me to continue with the plan i originally had for this race so the number of checkpoints has been cut down and they will be moved farther away.

making the race, even more, of a pain in your ass.

good day.

and don't forget about the bike swap sunday.

moscow
03-22-07, 12:58 PM
Yeah, i don't think i can race saturday... but the swapmeet is on for sunday and i am excited. I hope the weather is nice.

[edit] like i said, i'm going to try and make sure there are tunes and a hot grill. so if people want to bring some stuff to cook, beers, etc, feel free.

scotthorrigan

P.S. what's the address again?

fixed_ROCH
03-22-07, 02:13 PM
where is the swap meet going to be?

moscow
03-22-07, 02:16 PM
I can't work a checkpoint. If i could work a checkpoint i would just race. The problem is that I have too much schoolwork to do and a project to work on. It's killing me. All i want to do is ride. So you all better have good stories to tell me over some beers on sunday.

Address is:
9 Gordon St., Allston
Time: 12-5
Notes: People should come around back and can throw bikes in the basement and get to the deck and yard from there.

Kilgore_Trout
03-22-07, 05:32 PM
where does this race start?

tylersage
03-22-07, 05:55 PM
i think since the race is spread out we should get the checkpoints especially if they are going to be off of a map of boston.
