Well, for one, olive oil doesn't provide nearly a good enough base for the oats, and for two, everyone knows you do that with alpacas, not horses! For horses, you cover yourself in salt. :rolleyes:

You're right about the olive oil. I'll give you that. Personally, I use peanut butter. Much more licking and it's easy enough to mix up a bunch of salt in it.

For the oats, you should check out Blue Seal's Evans Alpaca Maintenance feed (http://www.blueseal.com/livestock/llama_alpaca/): A "quality blend of pellets, crimped oats, flaked corn, and extruded nuggets lightly wrapped in molasses and vegetable oil." It's always been my choice for as long as I've known about choices in alpaca feed.

But the point is that sentence, with the indicated modification, accurately and pithily described a relationship I had many, many moons ago with a very specific nut-job who happened to be of the female persuasion.
