Hi everybody!

I am somewhat unaccustomed to intro posts (I'm a graphic designer and the art forum I usually post on isn't exactly keen on intro posts :). Anyway. I'm from Oregon (see post title) and have a general interest in cycling. Mostly I ride a road bike('04 Trek 1000, or '79 Schwinn Traveler for commute), but--when the weather permits--enjoy dusting off the mountain bike('98 Trek 820 with no suspension O_O) and attacking the trails around my home. I've been mountain biking for ~10 years, but doing the road thing for only 2.5--got started when I went to college and realized that riding my mountain bike around town is not an enjoyable activity. Now that I'm done with college, I figured I'd take a spin across the country (standard transamerica trail and whatnot). I'm hoping to start that in May.

Nice to meetcha, great forum!

Adam,

'Good to have you aboard. I'm in the Beaverton, OR area, and we have some great cycling here in Oregon. If you'll look at the Touring forum, you'll see that several people have chronicalled their travels there. It would be nice to hear from you too, as you travel in the late Spring.

Hello Adam, you definitely want to head over to the Pacific Northwest (http://www.bikeforums.net/forumdisplay.php?f=237) regional forum and say hi to the rest of the PNWers. You've already met two of the gang (and I make #3!), but we are always happy to welcome a new member :D .

Enjoy your tour, and Welcome to BF!
