HI...

Im sort of new on this thing and I got a true temper tube set long time ago... well im trying to find the lugs now to start something really soon. checking the fork blades I found that they are 21.5 x 26.5 mms aprox instead of the usual 28x19.

There is a fork crown specific for this size or something? I looked everywhere and I cant find any signs of this unusual size.

May I "smash" persay the fork blade to make it near to 28x19? If I apply pressure at the 21.5 part to get 19 mms the 26.5 part it will strech to 28 mms, right? It will work?

Anybody knows if 3-RENSHO ROAD CROWN FOR 24mm AERO BLADE takes 21.5x26.5 blades??? Im just asking because where i saw it there is not especific size or details about what blades that thing uses...

Thanks...

It's not uncommon for fork blades and/or chain stays to require a little tweaking to get them to fit into the lug socket. I'm guessing that you should be able to pinch them in a vise to shape them to fit.

Regarding the fork crown, I think that 3-Rensho crown takes some sort of special blades. I have an old Tange catalog and there is a reference to a crown they sell as taking "24 Aero" fork blades but unfortunately, I can't find any other references in the book so I can't tell you what size they should be.

FYI, check out ceeway.com for lots of framebuilding stuff. Maybe they have some other reference to 24 aero blades.

Thanks a lot.... pinch them in a vise is what I was trying to say... looking with more attention I hace to cut a little bit of the blade and that takes me to a near by the size i need... if i cut like 1 cm of the blade I get amost the size i need... thanks for your promtly answer... really appreciated...
