'70's rock band Boston singer died Friday, age 55. I used to have BOTH their 8-track tapes when I was in middle school (showing my age here).:o

Great studio band...shame these people die so young

^^^^ I saw them live and had mixed feelings .
They were so perfect and didnt stray from the album one iota.
I love live stuff that is loud and sloppy....different from the album.
I could have just stayed in the parking lot and played the 8-track over
again and heard the same stuff...But, the show I saw was on Halloween
and there was a 2 minute or so break and the curtain went down and then
back up and there was a real cool/cheezy scary castle background like a
bad V. Price movie and Tom Scholtz was dressed like Dracula. He proceeded
to do this mind blowing solo stuff on his Les Paul that from a guitar players
point of view was pretty wild. That was cool......
