So I'm 6'2, 199lbs. And I want to shed 10 to 15 lbs.
I have a weakness. Jalapeno stuffed olives.
How do you beat things of this nature?

You don't. Just accept the fact that you have a weakness and try your best to cut in other areas where you can. For me it's Hot Wings. :)

I've been told that the act of ingesting jalapenos actually burns calories. I like to believe it's true. :p
My wife turned me on to jalapenos smeared with cream cheese. I salve my conscience by using 'lite' cream cheese. Self-delusion is key with comfort food, I've found. F'rinstance, did you know that if you eat a fattening snack while standing over the sink in the kitchen, the overall calorie intake is reduced? S'truth!

I have never heard of anyone getting fat on olives. You would have to eat piles and piles of them.
They are pretty salty though.... You might try pitching your salt shaker out the window, limiting soy sauce or eating unsalted crackers to compensate for the increased sodium intake from the olives.
Salt seems to find it's way into everything, especially processed food. It is stunning once you start to read the labels. Do we really need to add salt to catsup for example ? I think I could live without it.

Jeez, I have a twinge of angina just reading that!
Sounds wonderful!
May be that explains those two heart attacks I've had the spring.

And maybe that, in retrospect, suggests that my attempt at humor in the prior post was in poor taste. Please accept my apology! :crash:

NO..NO..NO.. Please accept my apology for crude humor!!
I used to get into Jalapano eating contest: ie: one gallon of pickled delites at a card table and a fifth of your choice of anything above 80proof...pepper for pepper, first one to leave the table loses. We have been know to break open a second gallon of peppers with just three players!
I did not know that I was going to live this long!!!!!!!:(
Jalapenos..YUM. You guys are making my mouth water talking about them!
Dr. Peppers are my weakness.
Jalapenos are not a weakness, they are one of the
3 basic food groups (well at least round here).
I've been delving into Habaneros, albeit at a lot more
cautiously than the jalapenos. I've gotten some that have little
or no heat, but what a wonderful flavour. Some take the
top of ones head off. I like both.
Take one Poblano pepper, stuff with a mix of montery
jack cheese and chopped jalapeno and habenero,
batterdip and bake with enchilada sause and more cheese
on top. Now thats an indulgence I can live with.
M
CHILI = equal parts pinto beans, red beans, tomatoes, corn, onions, poblanos, bell, jalapeņos, Anaheim's, cilantro...+ lots of garlic, cumin ,cayenne power and ONE habanero.
Slow cook for 4 hours
Eat with fresh cornbread or tortillas
Excuse my ignorance ,whats a Jalapeno ?? Sounds like something I might enjoy
I don't get it, do you put Jalpeno bits inside an Olive?
AS for any kind of 'food" thing, it's all priorities. Like, I think eating this <<insert food stuff here>>> is more important that walking around in a super trim super fit condition.
The Jalapeno is a chili pepperthat is moderely hot.

No, they come stuffed. They are yummy too. Almost as good as spicy carrots.
