I am about to pull the trigger on an 06 Jamis Trilogy TT bike. Does anyone here have one or has ridden one? How is the fit of the frame? How do you like it in general? Just curious about the opinions. Thanks

I have heard that Jamis is a good 'under-the-radar' brand. You can get some of their bikes with ultegra or dura ace pretty cheap from what I have heard.

Most of my bikes are Jamis (the shop I used to ride for was a Jamis rep) and I havent had one complaint about any of my rigs. Just like the last guy said, they are a great under the radar brand thats not quite as large as the big names like Trek (which helps keep the quality high), but not as small as a boutique brand (which helps keep the price reasonable).

I dont own the trilogy as my TT bike but I would recommend Jamis in a heartbeat. In the past, whatever minor issues I have had with a bike that the shop couldnt handle were always resolved by the factory without any hesitation. From what I know, Jamis keeps their distributorships small, this way they can establish closer relationships with the shops selling the brand. The former manager of my old shop is now an East Coast Rep for Jamis, and he's given me alot of insight as to what happens behind the scenes.

I think you would hard-pressed to find the same level of customer service from some of the bigger names.

what fivetenfrank said

i have two bikes, my TT ride is a GURU, but my road rig is a jamis quest. I love this bike so much that this year rather than buy new, i've rebuilt and had the frame refinished.

great value, great components, sensible prices

1+ on the Jamis bikes in general. I have a Jamis FS mountain bike and my roommate has a Quest and a Jamis hardtail mtn bike. I also recommend any Jamis.

thanks for all the replys - I got my own personal feedback today - THEY ARE BIG - I got measured and adjusted in an LBS and we (dealer+I) both agreed to order a 58 - turns out it is wayyy tooo long (top tube) for for a good try position, having a 430mm fixed aerobar did not help either. The dealer was really cool - he did not even try to adjust, but just agreed that this will not work. 56 is on the way

Mine fit perfectly, I have an 06 Ventura Comp. I was measured for a 54 and turned out the 54 frame fits me perfectly.

In the future (Winter of 2007-2008) I do plan on first getting the frame repainted and then slowly upgrading parts, but I intend on having the frame for at least 5 years before building a new bike.

Just picked up the 56 frame today, needed a shorter stem (90mm instead of 105) now the bike fits like a glove. Took it out on a short ride, and the aero position definitely works well. Even though I am not used to the position and the bike yet, I clocked speeds quite a bit faster than on my road bike :) :) :)
