Now it's too low.

Just kidding.

Brian Foster said you can't have your seat more than your fist high. And Brian Foster is the man so go by that rule. It was in a magazine.

If you like it, sure. If I were you, I would point my seat up at a higher angle.

Yeah, probably half an inch to an inch. Try it and see if you like it. Just ride your bike how you like it.

Nice bike. You've had it that whole time and it's still that clean? Mine was dirty and scratched up the first week, more like the first day.

Looks way better now, but yeah I would tilt that seat back just a bit. Makes it more comfy too. Such a nice set up.

i think you should put your seat wherever it is comfortable to you.

mine is 3-4" out of the TT. because when I fakie, if my freecoaster engages, its impossible to backpedal with a slammed seat. and it kills my back to be all hunched over waiting for my run at the park. stupid park, **** you skatepark... its finally warm enough that I dont need you anymore.

I agree despite the sarcastic first post i wrote. My seats at an all time high of around 1 and a half inches out!

How is it impossible to backpedal with a slammed seat... You shouldn't be sitting on it while riding.

you dont back pedal, you just spin the cranks backwards and lift your feet up, atleast thats how the cool kids do it.

note: im not a cool kid.

Ha i'm going to assume it's from one of those rodie sections. Those people pay like $60 for a seat. It's nuts.

MadMan2k
03-15-07, 09:15 AM
The cheapskates only pay 60 bucks for their seats.

They pay more for wheelsets, than we do for complete bikes.

I've seen like $1,500 wheelsets at one of my local shops. That's close to my whole bike.

silly roadies.

MadMan2k
03-15-07, 05:15 PM
My whole bike was under $500, so it's easy to get a wheelset that costs more than that.

wethepeople
03-15-07, 05:17 PM
Some roadie seats are close to the $200 mark.

premiumbmx2005
03-15-07, 05:25 PM
roadies are idiots if they pay that much for a seat.

roadies are idiots for being roadies and not 20inchers

BROCK SAMPSON
03-17-07, 03:48 AM
literally everything roadie is ridiculously overpriced, I was looking at a catalogue the other day at all the road bike crap and there was a wheel, not set, no tire, for 5 ****ing thousand. it had like 5 spokes and it was the pissiest thing I've ever seen, you couldn't ride off a gutter with that thing without tacoeing it

wethepeople
03-17-07, 03:49 AM
Ya, probably made for a track bike.

KinetikBiker

I don't get the fun in road biking.

I understand MTB and cross country and all that stuff but like...just riding by cars and crap doesn't seem fun.

Just look at the Lew racing boron wheels they are $5,500.00 each

FitRider 921
03-17-07, 11:59 AM
Yeah, those wheels are ridicuously overpriced. Just think about it, the most expensive hubs plus the most expensive rims don't cost nearly that much... Chris King Hubs + Ody 7ka rims + ti spokes is nowhere near $5000

How is it impossible to backpedal with a slammed seat... You shouldn't be sitting on it while riding.

because I am old and my knees hurt. I also have a rather low slung frame. it doesnt work.

and I like to sit down when I fakie for better control + style points.

sit down slider reverts are the ****.

you shouldn't worry about how other people ride. just ride.

everything on a bike should be where it is most comfortable to the rider. not where it looks best.

FuzzyRyder
03-20-07, 09:39 PM
sitting down looks like ****, it dosen't give style points.

MadMan2k
03-20-07, 11:27 PM
I honestly couldn't ride fakie sitting down, the seat's way too low...
Standing up looks better IMO (maybe not when you do it until you're going as slow as I was (http://jonbuder.com/videos/manual.mov), but still)

i have a freecoaster, sitting down while rolling fakie is a lot better for me.
