notice that theres this clicking sound when pedalling but if i put the bike on a stand n pedal using my hands it isnt present..... i checked my shoes and realise that when i shake them there is this clicking sound in fact comign from them... so is the sound from the shoes instead of the bike? using nike altea shoes with look cleats.... can shoes actually have those "clicking sounds" when u shake them? :(

Check your cleats they might be loose.

just checked .. the screws are tight .. seems that the sound is coming from within somewhere in the shoe
Examine the shoe for cracks.

Often the pedals won't make noise in the stand because there is not enough load on them. Try this, put on a pair of sneakers and ride the bike around, if it still clicks it is in the pedals, or cranks or BB. If it goes away then the shoes or cleats are the issue.
If the pedals are clicking internally you need a special Look splinretool to take the spindle asembly out of the pedal body and adjust and lube it. DO NOT use a pair of pliers, you may break the nut, it is plastic, and then you will never get them apart.

I don't know diddly about Nike shoes, but have used Look and Campy Profit pedals for 11 years.... If I had a noise coming from my shoes I'd take the basic process of elimination that Rev. Chuck mentioned one step further and remove the cleats from the shoes. However, before removing the cleats scribe a line on the soles of the shoes around the cleat with a white grease pen or scratch-awl so you can re-position them exactly where they were when you reinstall them.
Anyway, I'd pull the cleats off, inspect everything for signs of any cracks -- screw holes in the soles, hardware, cleats -- clean everything and then reinstall the cleats using a drop of blue Loctite 242 on each of the screws. Let the Loctite cure for a little while and then take it for test ride to see if that solved the problem.

i actually meant that if i pedal without clicking in my cleats into the pedal or pedal on the backside of the pedal there will not be any of that clicking sound

I've had this problem before and could not find the problem. Never did. I disassembled the cleats and reassembled them. The sound went away.
If you have enough float , try changing the angle of your foot on the pedal for a short time. (????) Or the position of your butt on the seat . I have found that , on long rides , my riding position gets out of wack. Meaning I get into a bad riding position. Don't know why. I have to correct myself and ride on. (Just thinking out loud)

Just found this thread.... I know I'm years off the pace but have had the same problem. Have Nike Altea II shoes and thought my bike was being badly serviced. But noticed at some point that shoes clicked when I shook them and put two and two together re the clicking when I pedalled. Am using Look cleats/pedals and the spare plate in the base of the shoes was sliding about during the pedalling motion. Slipped some blu-tack in there and now no clicking :) Hope that helps someone like me in the future!

I recently eliminated a similar click by just oiling around the springs and pivot points on the pedals (Shimano SPD); I also greased and tightened the threads into the cranks, but my sense was that oiling the pedals did the trick.
