There's a thread about this in SS & FG, but the California regional forums are bound to do the most good. They need 7500 signatures, and they're up to over 7100 already! Let's put them over the top, and get this measure sent to Sacramento! You must be a registered California voter. Go to:

i hope this works.... but the other thread points out that these types of online petitions are useless... that said... i signed it eons ago before it was even mentioned at this forum! thanx for the reminder! i hope everyone from california who hasn't signed it will take the time to sign it now!

(plus they would look so cool on my car! my personalized plates personalized even more!)

Totally, they would look very cool. And, I fail to see how such a petition can be *useless*, or at the very least, it cannot possibly hurt. The point is well taken though, that a letter or email directly to one's representative would be a very, very good thing as well! Why not do both! :)

Why does it refer to Colorado license plates?

Ha! Good eye! Maybe they used another petition as a template and forgot to change the state to California in that one place? I think it's safe to assume they meant California.
