Just saw the news a few hours ago and I am stoked. I have 10+ years on the guy and he is one of my "idols" if you will. At the bar I work at, I am constantly pulling other workers into the office to watch his videos online. Even people who could give a damn about bikes are really into his technique. Awesome.

I should have seen this coming.

No I didn't stalk him, not my thing, but yeah in the one video which I can't seem to link, he mentions he is 17. I had a 1/8 of that kind of skill at that age and now at 27 I still suck at BMX. I should stick to XC and fixed gears. No opinion on Shadow as a team or company, just saw a few vids of Poynter and others after they were linked on another SS mtb site. They came up during a discussion on riding brake-less in a park, campus, etc. and brake-less fixies in traffic.

Meh.
I like the Shadow bird and their Slim seats. But nothing else they make is worth it. Thier chain is strong but it's hard to work with and ugly.
