I have an opportunity to purchase a Royal Nord President tandem. It was purchased in 1948 in Belgium according to the daughter. The bike was ridden up to the late '60s and has been in the basement since. It is complete with drum brakes, dyno front hub, and all it came with from the factory. Does anyone have information on these tandems? Neither me nor the seller know what it's value would be. It is in ok condition from the photos I've seen, a little rough but shouldn't need repainting. It is a single speed with what look to be 26" wheels. Too wide to be 27".
Thanks,
Ian in Minnesota

Being a native of Belgium, can't say I've ever heard the brand name. Sounds like a French machine.
Suggest you contact the Flanders Tandem Club, jean.bruyninckx@belgcom.net who may be able to help.
