Well, I had a really hecktic year in '06 and only got in a couple decent rides. For those who know us my wife had our daughter on July 17th, just one month after we bought our first house. I also changed jobs...twice, both for the better. Having a kid is great and I'm looking into getting a child cart for my bike now that things have settled down and warmed up. I got in my second ride this morning and living in Castle Rock gives me access to some nice rides. I can definately feel the time off the bike, mainly on the huge climb back to my house. Getting Pneumonia a few weeks ago really made things tuff but I made the 15 mile loop...without dying...which I thought I was gonna do a couple times. Hopefully after I can get a few more core building rides in, I would love to meet up with some of the Colorado crew and spin of a nice 40-50 miler.

Later folks.
Bobby

Castle Rock? Man, that's.......not....close.

Nice to meet you Bobby, We have a pretty good group of local riders this season. Some of us have already been out together a couple times. You'll have to watch our regional forum and jump in when you can. Good to have you aboard.

Hey Mirage-t I remember you!! :) Glad to see your back. :)

You'll definitely have to join us for a ride sometime. :)

Yeah, just don't let ME plan the ride. Ask Snowy and DataJunkie. :p

Hey snowy! The last time I saw you, it was right after you had finished your first centry ride...feels like ages ago. I definately need to get a ride in with a group sometime. Riding by myself causes me to ride way to hard and I blow my self up very early, I had to remove my cyclometer to keep me from pushing it to hard. I need people who know what the word 'Pace' means LOL.

I have that problem as well. My advice would be to purchase a heart rate monitor. Maybe a $50-$75 polar model with heart rate zones. Now when I hit the high end of my hear rate zone and it starts beeping at me I lay off a bit. It also helps with training. Anerobic, aerobic, and all that. My 2 cents

Yeah, BC plans an early season death ride, everyone shows up and then whines about how sore they are. I plan a early season, mellow (but strenuous ride;) ) and no body shows...except the death ride guy...'tain't fair, I tell ya. 'tain't fair at all. ;)

I wasn't whining :) And the ride its self wasn't hard. Just took LONGER then I planned and Snowy has things to do.

This weekend I'm riding mountain bike with girlfriend one day and the other day I'll be riding my bike solo. :)

I was sore half of Monday. Heck, I've ridden almost 120 miles yesterday and today. Well...120 miles after I get home tonight.
Stinking hills after Morrison! <- my only complaint.
Besides.... my pedals self destructed before cyco's first attempt and I developed a memory lapse during the second one and headed to the zoo instead. :p

Me was no sore. I hit the gym and feel much better :) Keeping that core strong is important!! :)

I stretched. Guess I wasn't that sore if stretching took care of it.
That and I coded and coded and coded.... work is so freaking busy. I want a vacation. That or a 7 day weekend.
