ill just start off with this
im 6' 2" and i have been riding for a while. i have sorda been lookin in to this specialized fuse series. my friend had one and my brother just bought the fuse one, i like them both geometry wise. i feel like im ganna break the fuse 1 once i do a frickin bunny hop, im thinking about the four so it will hold up on me but idk if its worth the money yet, so maybe the 3.
one thing im wondering is if that 1 inch really makes that much of a difference. thats something i havent been able to figure out cause its so hard to find a frickin 21 inch hangin out in a store to try. im hoping to be doing a lots a freestyle trails this year. but ill still be riding downtown and all. i havent seen if these fuses will hold up really well, so im still holding on buying it.
if any one has any other suggestion on any other bikes i could check out that would be nice. i was also thinking about the jane
i used to not have a problem with spending 600 bucks on a bike, for some reason i do now. so i was wondering if we could find something for about 300-600. well lets say i have problems spending 600 on something i cant see first.

A lot of people on here are going to tell you to get the DK Six Pack for about $320. It's a good bike, good parts, and strong. And it's pretty cheap.

I ride the fuse 3. I've had it for almost a year, and haven't really broken any parts on it, except bending the bars a little but thats from dropping/throwing it trying to learn barspins and fakies. The wheelset is pretty damn strong, and the frame and fork are good. The cranks are aluminum, so they get dinged up pretty easily but that's just cosmetic stuff.
I would buy the same one if I was doing it again, actually over the six pack. Under the Integral bel-air of course, but still.
I'm about 150lb and I don't do any huge stuff, but I do plenty of 2-2.5ft hops on it and have yet to break anything from that.

The Fit Flow and the Integral Bel-Air look very nice. I like the Fit Flow Street i think its called something with Fit and Street.

do u mean 2 foot bunnys on flat or just jumps. cause im planning on 15 foot gaped kickers. i have heard the bars are bad, and now im sure of it, cause everyone has said that. but its sounds like its held up pretty well.

Intergral Bel-Air
and as for that
i want to stick with something under 31 rather 30
dang that fit flow is just what im looking for, something i forgot to add is that i want it to be 30 or under 30 pounds and that fits that, and its a 20.75 tt
does the fuse 3 even come close to comparing with either of those cause its 400 bucks and its 20.75 too. does anyone know what the fuse 3 weighs by chance

You will not be disappointed with the Bel-Air... trust me. It's the best complete you can buy as it is pretty much already custom.

but its also $680

Eh. Greatness comes at a price. It's worth a lot more than that if you part it out.

yeh, i know what u mean
this is sorda erelevent, but i was picking a bmx over downhilling because i knew it would be for sure cheaper. i have a buddy that is pro mountain biker and can get me a $6000 bike for almost 1500. now if i spent almost 700 on a bmx, i mines well just spend another 800 to get that bike. if u understand where im coming from.
i hate to be cheap, im usually not that stupid, cause i know its ganna bite me in the ass in the end! if i dont spend the money up front
so fuse 3 is what im still lookin at

If you're smooth and the jump is smooth, a 15 foot jump could be smoother on the bike and you than a bunnyhop on flat, which by the way is what I meant. Wheels absorb impact easier at speed than at slower speeds, I think.

Fit flow, you wont regret it. Just as good as the Integral, and a bit cheaper.

The flow was **** last year and i doubt they made it much better this year. The frame bent, the cranks snapped, the bars were wayyy to small, the wheelset was awful and fell apart and the forks were mad heavy. Not worth the price

i agree with the DK six pack

I think you're right. Jumping a box jump or dirt jump smooth is way easier on you and your bike then a bunnyhop would be.
Go with the Fit Flow. Forget what Eightdip says he's probly really sketch if he killed it :p

I don't know why you had so many problems. I ride mine hard and haven't had any. You must be sketch haha. The bars feel really good to me, and I'm very happy with the wheels. The cranks are fine, and the fork isn't too heavy. It's not light ither, but who cares deal with it.

i would have to agree with the fact that its smotther to do the fifteen foot gap then a bunny hop, if you come out smooth. but im saying if i ended up takin off wrong or coming up short which everyone is bound to do sooner or later. i just wonder how the bike will do.
so everyone says go with the $680 bel air, or the fit flow. the thing that still gets me is that i cant see any of thses bikes without buying them first. the reason im interested in the fuses is i know that i like the geometry on them. that feel really good. anyone know how i could test ride any of these. or am i just stuck with something i dont really like that is 680 dollars out of my pocket

You are going to like the Bel-Air... trust me. If you don't like it, you can fly from wherever you are currently living, and come to Long Island and kick me in my broken leg.

And dont kick him in his shin, it's his femur thats broken.

Nope. Ankle, tibia, fibula.

03-13-07, 03:26 PM
Ah, how is the ankle healing?
I broke mine at the very end of the season in 2005.
FitRider 921
03-13-07, 03:32 PM
My ankle has been healed for a good 4 or 5 months. I think the fibula has been healed for about 2 months. The tibia takes forever, but it's almost there.

**** dude, that would suck if u broke your femur. but u get some good old mourphene at the hospital

I did worse than breaking my femur. I've been out for over 7 months and can barely walk. I got the most morphine at the hospital that they ever gave out, and it did nothing to ease my pain. It actually did nothing at all but make me dizzy when I first tried to use my crutches.

Fit flow, you will not regret. Get the trails version and throw on some pegs if you want to grind. That's all it needs. The Bel air is barely even better, if at all and it's not worth the extra $100 or whatever if you are eventually going to be upgrading stuff anyway. Tehy are both solid choices though if you don't mind paying the extra for the Bel air. I'd save my money though.

Meh.
I hate my Hollowbites now. They have a little ball taper thing by the pedal boss and it hurts really bad when my feet shift on tables and land on it. Someone hook it up with some Profiles.

Don't worry about the weights of bikes.
And kinetic, hollowbites do suck but the rest of the parts are amazing
MadMan2k
03-15-07, 05:11 PM
I'm sure it's light for a street/park/etc bike, it's got some pretty high end parts on it.

It's light for a stock bike. I'd guess between 27 and 30 pounds.
Don't worry about wieght though there's plenty to do to lighten your bike up once you get it.
