Just got this down from the great white north. I still haven't found anything on the 1200 model. It is not an aluminum model as some had suggested. It is triple-butted splined Miyata steel. I think it was distributed as a Tri bike. The Shimano Sante crank was outfitted with a bio-pace 52 tooth ring. The small ring looks like a 32(?). Haven't checked yet. Also, one of the decals (on the chainstay) shows a runner a swimmer and a bicyclist. Hmmm. What could that mean?
I'm going to overhaul it, then ride the crap out of it. :D
Anyone? (T-mar are you back yet?)
Any other Miyataphiles?

I had one a while back, but it looked almost completely different than yours (yes, it was steel). Mine had nice "m"s cut out in the lugs, and a very nice group-- cyclone derailleurs, sunshine pro-am hubs, dia compe gran compe brakes. Alas, it had a nice dent in the seat tube, so I stripped the frame for parts and gave the frame to a local single speed/fixed gear kid. So there's another one hanging around town, if you see it it used to be mine...
