Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. My Air Zound arrived today. Leaked pressure steadily from the first fill, made one honk, then would not hold air or make sound.
Obviously very cheaply made.
Didn't someone here have a way to install a regular freon horn so it could be used quickly on the trike?

I personally do not have an Air Zound, but I do work at a bike shop that sells them. They are plastic, which is inherently cheap, but that being said I have never seen one that is leaking air. Take it back and get a new one.

NoNaYet, I do believe you got a lemon. I've had mine since December and have not had any problems with it.

No problem with mine. But I did have a hard time figuring out how to fill it the first time.

I liked my first one so much, I bought three more for my other bikes and they all work fine. The only problem I have is other people pushing the activator and wasting all my air so that by the time I need it, it's empty.
Bought mine last year, use it when I need it, works great. I had to replace the 1st one though. One day I used it so much I ran out of air halfway home. I stopped to fill it with my Co2 cartridges. That was not a good idea. Because of the amount of pressure that comes out of the Co2 & the very small diameter of the fill tube for the Airzound which could not handle that much pressure at one time it literally blew the valve apart to where I could not fix it. So I had to purchase a 2nd one.
I now use a mini-pump to fill it if I run out while riding & use the Co2 to only fill the tires.

As a side not, if you fill it with CO2 the tone is much lower (CO2 being denser than air) - it REALLY sounds like an 18 wheeler then!

I've had two. The plastic switch mount broke one one. It happened when I was doored by a disembarking passenger. They guy paid up on the spot. Even the tank on that one held air over the winter and had about a 4 second burst left.
They really do hold air very well. You've got a dud.
On a side note, a friend made one out of a 3 liter bottle and a plastic truck horn. The challenge is getting a good seal on the cap part.
