Maybe not, but I just had to tell you what my 6 year old told me today. We went and picked up his 1st real bike from Mission Bay, a Trek 820 with 24" tires. Set is as small as possible and he barely fits, but hes so tall for his age it'll only be a week or so until he starts to outgrow it. The look of pride and joy on his face was worth it all. He already has mentioned going on a ride with me and the "computer bike guys" as I explain you all to him. Just what I need is that type of pressure. I dont mind getting dropped by all you skinny bike guys but my own 6 year old boy dropping me? Oh my, better get outside and ride.

Sweet ride! I can't wait. Mine's still trying to figure out how to walk. Tell you what...we should have a short family ride one day on the trail. I have a trailer for my son, and my wife would probably come as well....

That way you can get dropped by a girl. ;) (not)

Well done! It's nice to see at least someone in the area has a bike to ride.... (just kidding Psimet)

Hopefully he can get a Great Lakes/BFNIC jersey sometime, too. :D

Congratulations to both you and your son. It's amazing how far they can go (on the flats) once they get started. Of course you realize that you have started a nasy trend. When he outgrows this bike he'll want another one, bigger and better, and then another...:D

Start them young....make sure he understands the value of LOOKING GOOD while riding that nice bike.

WOW! 2 zings in one short post. I tell you it's this new job. I don't get to spend all day designing jersies and cruising for components like I used to.

Thank god too...I'm actually happy now!:D
