Foo - This doesn't happen to me.

People are given things in life and are expected to handle them. I've had to tough out a lot of circumstances, handle things with the tools I am given and watched as sometimes my efforts have failed. Sure--every one has ups and downs, but there are times when I've questioned the whole reasoning about why I am dealt the cards in my hand. Sometimes it even came down "Is this what life is supposed to be??"

My only choice was to go up. I refuse to let the negativity take me down, and fought hard to recover myself from all the hits I have been given.

Within the past couple of months, wonderful things have happened to me. In ALL aspects. Health, relationships, business, love.... It's as if all of my hard work and dedication and BELIEF in myself has paid off. The struggle to succeed is on it's way.

AGAIN--I realize that to every positive thing there is a negative thing--balance of nature. But to feel this euphoric for this long is really strange, almost as if I don't trust it. I ask myself, what did I do to deserve this? This doesn't happen to me.

Do you deserve the goodness? Of course you do! Don't question it, instead, enjoy the temporary calm! :D

Your outlook affects the paradigm of your life! If you expect goodness, then goodness tends to be the result and if you expect bad things, they tend to come about as well! It's called the "Observer Effect"!

At the very least, Siu, the kindness and empathy I notice that you show to others is what you did to "deserve" what you are receiving. I do believe in the Law of Threefold Return, and I believe it is applying to you at this time in your life. It's great to hear that, BTW. :)

You already won on the inside.

All you're talking about are the rewards you've reaped. Enjoy them, you're one of the few who got what they deserved. But remember - you deserve it because you earned it.

On paper, one could say my life is somewhat in the crapper right now. But strangely enough I've never felt better about myself. It's all in the attitude.

Don't doubt it - of course you deserve this, nearly everyone does. But usually not because of one or two grand heroic gestures. More likely it is an accumulation of innumerable small, usually forgettable gestures of kindness and goodwill that add up to something great. A better poet than I might come up with a metaphor of some kind about small seeds dropped on the ground growing into a tall forest.

Spring is in the offing, or sprung off the inning. Enjoy what you can while you can and don't look for the black cloud behind the silver lining. Count your chickens before you hesitate. He who laughs last gathers no moss. A rolling stitch in time is a bird in the bush earned. Ken B. needs some coffee.

Think of it this way Siu, life is a bank.

Just this bank accepts good deeds, and give you your dividends (rewards) when it feels you are ready.

In this case, the deeds you gave were great, and you finally got your returns for those good deeds.

I tend to think good things happen to people who expect good things to happen to them. And, I think part of that is because they have that expectation and, so, find the "good" in things all around them. Haven't totally mastered that myself but it seems like a good way to look at life to me. Might be like self-hypnosis but so is much of life. As I told my gf....one day I walked into a bagel shop and some nice looking woman was staring at me. I thought, "...she could be thinking I dress funny, I'm really unattractive, I look like her uncle, I'm really a good looking guy.." I'll never know so I guess I'll choose the latter and have a nice day. :)

True story...

Many years ago a tornado tore through the mid-west. One town was particularly hard hit. The local appliance/electronics store (part of a very small local chain of stores) lost its roof. The owner was at a loss as to what to do. He finally decided to sell off the merchandice in his parking lot at bargin basement prices. He sold everything. Maybe because you are a good person, and I'm not trying to butter you up. You are seriously one of the nicest, coolest people I've ever met. Good things happen to people who believe in themselves and don't let the world bring them down.
