Well not really, but it sounded good...
so if you, cough cough sniffle sniffle, feel something coming on...
The best way to beat it is fresh air....
So how about a nice mtb ride

The plan is up Northridge - then down Sycamore and up Telegraph and back down... or go down bovidian to south ridge

No hookie for me, I'm afraid. I fear karma lashings if I do - i.e. then I'll really get sick and need one extra sick day and not have it because I played hookie! :p

Last Friday was a "hookie" day for me, and I used it to drive to Solvang for the century, so can't do it this week!

Yup...great bagels, pizza, italian food...
the bigger issue is that it was 30 freakin degrees...way to cold for me....I was so glad to get back here to the warmth of so cal!

yeah but better now than in the summer when its hot and humid and your clothes are sticking to your body. I don't remember it being that way when I lived there but I guess when you're young you don't notice that kinda stuff.:eek:

Gonna be suffering up GMR on Friday morning. Wish I coulda made it out there to pre-ride sometime in the past few weeks. Haven't been out there for probably at least a year.

Meet at the EAST END of the Carbon Canyon Regional Park parking lot. (after entering the park, turn left and continue to the end)
Directions: Take the 57 Fwy to Lambert Rd. Head East on Lambert Rd. until it turns into Carbon Canyon Rd. (142). The entrance to Carbon Canyon Park is on the right-hand side, (approx. 3 mi. East of the 57 Fwy).
You need 3 1dollar bills for the entrance fee!

I can always do hill repeats while I wait. Thats what I do for friends on our lunch rides here. North ridge is a LONG HILL, i found out the hard way on my SS:eek:

funny thing I didn't THINK it was gonna be like that, I hammered up the first part thinging the top was up at the first right hander NOPEEEEE, well ok maybe after that next lil ridge, NOPE. Repeated that though every blind corner to find myself with more climbing. I was spent 2/3s up and had to stop and let my legs rest. Good stuff, next time I KNOW + I got all the gears on the bike to use again. Just have to fix the chain MoPhat broke.
We can either play there or do a roadie ride.

But you missed me eating it going down Telegraph...just before the 1st water crossing...I was slowing...but must have applied too much front brake and it slid out.....nice...:(

Yeah...I'm such a spaz...pretty scraped up on my right leg...on the outside above and below the knee...
It was great weather....a bit warm but not too bad...
