Hi,
I see Nashbar has a Shimano TC-1057 tandem crankset on sale at: http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?sku=19581. Does anyone know anything about these cranks?
Thanks,
Daniel

i think that it's the same one that came on our burley duet tandem. not much to say, it's a pretty basic crankset and pretty cheap looking chainrings but they've held up ok so far. it works for us

FC-1057 is based on the 105 platform and was adapted for tandem use. It has forged arms and uses a square taper bottom bracket. It is 8 or 9 speed compatible and is a good entry level crankset. Chainrings are inexpensive but are ramped and pinned so they will shift well under load.
