Hi,
Tonight I'll be camping in Superior, AZ. My Southern Tier ride has be wonderful. No problems, hot, but dry weather, and I'm still safe. Please go to my site: www.crazyguyonabike.com/doc/dean for further info. Just wanted to let you all know what's up. Having a ball!!!!!!

Dean...checked out your site...two things: #1. Food and drink are a big deal on a tour, and #2. Laurie has the loaded, panniered bike and your's doesn't seem to have so much as a tire bag. Pretty crafty!

I've been checking in now & then. I find it quite interesting. It sure didn't take you much time to start meeting new people.

OHB,
I've been following your adventure since you left. Sounds like you're really enjoying the trip. Keep up with the writing and you'll have literary agents in your wake by the time you get through Texas.
Stay safe, well fed and dry.
Great, great stuff there OHB. The different people you are meeting will make this trip even more memorable.
Sounds like another adventure I've got to add to my cycling lists of things to do....

Wish I had the guts to do that kind of a trip. But the way my knees feel right now, 15 miles is about it. Keep up the good (and hard) work.

Thanks guys. I'm currently spending the night tonight in a motel, only the second time since my departure. I really enjoy camping, but every now and then I need to get things squared away, such as laundry, small repairs and adjustments, and catch up on my journal postings and notes to you.
Tomorrow I'll cross into New Mexico, and perhaps by this time next week I'll start my long trek across Texas. Thanks for following along. Dean
Great journal, keep it up. When you cross central Texas, what route will you take? Would you want any riding partners for a day?
Hang in there Dean! I'm impressed!! My wife and I were following your web site when she exclaimed "Wow, we'll have to do that sometime!"

I can't tell you how much I am enjoying reading your journal. I have been over most of that route, but not by bicycle. You have a tremendous writing ability, and your story just comes alive. I am jealous.
I laugh everytime I see the picture of the Hazardous socks!!
I'm reading your journal also, always checking for the next post. Thanks, keep it up!
