hello all,
i stumbled on this forum while doing research on what road bike to purchase,this site has been real helpful.
I from the new yourk metro area and i want to get into road biking. if any one has any intro tips ,im all ears

Hello and welcome.
My search for a new ride, from a hybrid to a road bike led me to Bike Forums.

As you can see, I am in Long Beach, NY, but until three years ago I lived in Brooklyn.

Your question is asked all the time.

My suggestion is to take some time and scan the posts here.
You can narrow down your search by focusing on the Road Bike posts. The Advanced Search Feature on the tool bar above can also be very helpful. Try different combinations of keywords.

Not that I am suggesting that you don't ask around...it is just that I found a wealth of information, a great addition to any or many of the answers you will personally receive.
