for those that didnt get the email quicksilver has been cancelled because of the permit fiasco.

Apparently last week after everything was said and done a senior vdot guy stopped by and said the permit was fine and the cop should not have shut anything down.

at least i am forced to rest even more for UMD

So if there was never anything wrong with the permit in the first place, why is it cancelled now?

My brain hurts. Either way, I wasn't racing that day, but it's still ridiculous.

See you at UMD... I took a look at the course yesterday and it looks like it'll be a blast.

Rereading the email it wasnt actually a vdot official that showed up rather a more senior police officer.

They were just trying to get the permit reviewed or reworked this week but vdot would take too long to have it done by this weekend and they dont want to take a chance of it getting shutdown again.
