WTP--do you have a stock of cat photos for every occasion?

Are these all your cats :D ?

So far I'm voting for the Sphinx as best cat photo, but this Scottish Fold is nice too.

I have a couple hundred cat macro's that I keep around.

And no, I can hardly deal with the one cat I have, which just so happened to throw up behind as I was typing this.

Dogs are way cooler they play fetch and bark and can protect you. Unless they are my dog. In which case they are lazy, fat and smell really bad. But i still love him.

Cats are kind of fun to play with, with laser pointers and stuff.

I think I like dogs better though.

If you have a cat, wrap masking tape around their paws and then put them on the ground. It's ****ing hilarious.

I've had that happen by accident. It is pretty funny :D .

Rubber band their tail to their leg/body.

Interesting. I will have to try that some time.

I need to get a photo of Anniebear--her tail is so badly kinked that it looks like a mitten waving at you.

I don't think I'd be able to rubber band her tail to much of anything.

My husband grew up with dogs, loved dogs, blah blah blah dogs. Then he discovered how much of a nuisance dogs are when you: need to go to work; need to go out of the country; need to go to the store without them; need to [fill in the blank]. And they stink when they are wet.

That's my husband's opinion! We still like dogs and one of these days we will get a Bouvier, but when you're working they are too much trouble, especially if you like to travel as much as we do. Cats are great for people who live the way we do.

My cats love to get into boxes--that's how they get masking/sticky tape on their paws. It's sometimes a comedy of errors trying to chase them down so that the tape can be removed. But it is funny to watch them.

The rubber band--now, it would be mean if I did it deliberately :o .

We gave one of our Birmans to our vet, as it didn't want to be in the house anymore. She has a balcony, so it's happy now. The other one was my wife's favorite - another Birman whose father was a $15k show winner. We gave him away before moving back to the US, as it seemed silly to pay $1200 freight, knowing the cat would freak out and cark it before the plane landed. (We paid that to bring the dog over though). Then I rescued a rag doll kitten a few months ago. She was abandoned by on the side of the road. My daughter took care of her until she moved out. We decided we didn't want a deaf cat (one blue, one green eye) that wrecked the house, so we found her a new home. She got along great with the dogs though. They would get in her face and bark like crazy, and she would just give them a bored look. She would also stalk them and do her ninja jump onto them from the bookcase.

Ah, so it's not that you don't like cats, you just haven't found suitable replacements which won't destroy the house?

Birmans are gorgeous. So, photos are mandatory. Well, if you feel like throwing some on here. Although we are wandering off topic a tad, aren't we?

Here's my wife's cat, back when her dog was just a pup.

He's got some nice front gloves, a pity the rear gloves and laces can't be seen. The laces are the coolest part of Birmans. They made quite a pair, the Birman and the pup...

He's got perfect markings, and a wonderful disposition. But he suffers separation anxiety, and putting him on a plane probably would have done him in.

That's my dog. He's fat now because of a bum leg that he hurt jumping a baby gate on a quest to catch a squirrel. And was in desperate need of a haircut in that picture. He's ...i want to say 10. Guess the breed. You wont.

Yes, E/TFG/B's cat isn't fat, he's fluffy.

My guess is that your dog is an English Springer Spaniel, but he doesn't look quite correct about the head, although that could be a result of the angle of the photograph.

I used to have a black-and-white cat that was soooo fluffy because it had long hair. It looked really fat though.

Wow. That's really insane. What did you feed that thing? Protein bars?

And East Hill, that statement was not just directed at you. I just thought the thing was chunky in the first place and you were not the only one to say that it was not fat.

Our biggest Birman was Meeko, at 18 pounds. But in another life, (before I married) my girlfriend had this huge cat with a gut that nearly touched the ground. His head was giant too. I'll see if I can find a photo.
