New Scattante Cx frame/fork

has anyone seen the 2007 Scantante frame/fork on Performance?
They are introducing it at $249.
This looks to be a slam dunk, esp with a 10% off code, etc.

any input?

They make a nice frame, thought I just recently sold my XRL road bike. But for the year that I had it, I had no problems with it.

opinion:

meh. it looks pretty nice. but i don't think it's that much better than my Nashbar.

it looks more traditional than the nashbar frame. for some people, that might have some appeal. I enjoy that it comes with an integrated headset. They upped the price to something like $275, and now it's less of an outright steal, but still a good deal.

opinion:

meh. it looks pretty nice. but i don't think it's that much better than my Nashbar.

the nashbar cross frame is a down right steal now...its on sale for $154! but the scattante xrl that I see on the site is going for $330 without the discounts, but that comes with a carbon fork. that is still more than twice the nashbar price. the nashbar frame looks like the top tube is on the short side...there is note on sizing on the site and a combo deal of $300 to get the frame with a carbon fork. nashbar has close ups of the welds, performance has only the one photo.

the good thing about performance is that there is a store here in town.
