I just bought the Michelin Axial Performance Tires (http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=&subcategory=&brand=1182&sku=8530&storetype=&estoreid=) and when i tried to put them on, they seemed too small for my wheels. I was afraid after a while that I would bend my rims so I stoped.

Do I need to buy the 700x25c like my old tires are? I've been told that Michelins are tight and hard to put on and that the 23, 25 measure does not relate to size anyway.

Any suggestions as to how to put my tires in without damaging my wheels?

thanks

Hey, never mind! Can you see the avatar? The tires are on!

It was a little tough to get them on but once i had the confidence that they are supposed to fit on there, I pushed a little harder and it worked. But I had to use new tubes to make them fit in the smaller tires.

here is a better view:

I have use Michellin Axial Pro, I didn't fine it hard to place it on the rim, as for the size the x25 or 23, thats the width of the tire and the 700 I think that is the circumference or the diameter of the tire, (guys I am threading on something that I don't have personal knowlegded,) but right know I am using a 700cX20, happy bike riding
