A thread reminded me of John Tomac and I wondered what he was doing now? Anyone know? And Rory O'Reilly, a track racer I met during an HPV speed attempt in the '80s. Ditto. anyone? Post your favorite missing person and let's help each other on where they are now.

Tomac has a bicycle company.

I looked up O'Reilly. He coaches his son Cody and lives in Cali. There is a bunch of stuff if you look his son up.

John Howard was always the one I used to keep up with. Last time I checked he was alive and kicking out in Arizona somewhere. I always wanted one of his UCI illegal road bikes with the cheater fairing.
Edit: I found him, he is in the San Diego/Encinitas area of CA.

Ot Pi, one of my favorite Trials riders. I haven't heard anything about him in years. Trials only gets about a paragraph every year or two in all the bike mags combined, makes it hard to keep up. :)

I met John Howard a couple of times, once when I introduced him at a Bike club meeting and once at the IHPVA Water Speed Championships. My wife was impressed that Howard recognized me. Later the man who built his drafting speed record bike addressed that club and brought along the bike that drafted a Bonneville streamliner at ~152 MPH. He also had a couple of baggies of salt scraped off of the bike after the run. With a signed note in each bag explaining what it was. I still have one of the bags.
